Recruitment Fall 2024

Formal Recruitment

August 12th -14th, 2024

Formal Recruitment begins Wednesday, August 12th and lasts through Bid Day on Saturday, August 15th.  The process is hosted on the Oklahoma City University campus and involves the entire PanHellenic Community. As a chapter, Gamma Phi Beta seeks to welcome Potential New Members who exemplify our core values of love, labor, learning, and loyalty. Each year we welcome a remarkable new group of members to our sisterhood who continue our philanthropy of Building Strong Girls and promote the highest type of womanhood.

Bid Day

August 21st, 2024

Bid Day is on August 21st. This is the day when women who have completed Formal Recruitment receive a bid, or invitation to join a chapter. This day is an amazing event for the entire Panhellenic community. Gamma Phi Beta holds Bid Day near and dear to our hearts, as it is our deepest honor to welcome fantastic new women into our sorority. After the distribution of bids, we spend the day celebrating with these women. We are so excited to continue adding to our true and constant sisterhood.

A letter from our Membership Vice President

I am truly thrilled to be serving Gamma Phi Beta as the Membership Vice President, and planning our chapter’s Formal Recruitment for the fall of 2024! Formal Recruitment is an amazing opportunity to cultivate new friendships, genuine connections, and growth as an individual through entering the four houses. The entire Panhellenic community here at Oklahoma City University ensures everyone is seen and respected throughout the process.

Throughout the three nights of Formal Recruitment, Gamma Phi Beta strives to inspire the highest type of womanhood as well as introduce our four core values to the next generation: love, labor, learning, and loyalty. The members of our house hold true to these four values, and they serve to empower us as both individuals and as a community. We are eager for our members to be able to share with those going through the process some of our favorite memories and aspects of the house.

Something I really noticed and enjoyed while experiencing the Formal Recruitment process was that regardless of the house I ended up in, I still have amazing friendships with women I had conversations with in the other houses. This being said, no matter the outcome, friendships to last a lifetime will be cultivated in each organization. Gamma Phi Beta and the rest of the OCU Panhellenic community would love to see you at Formal Recruitment in the fall of 2024, and I cannot wait to begin the school year off with meeting some incredible new individuals!
